In 1994 I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Richard Gaskin in Sam Ash Music store in Paramus, New Jersey. We had an immediate commonality both of US went through life changing accidents and both entertainers.

I soon managed his rap group known as: P.B.U. AKA "Power by Unity". I had the idea of selling promotional tee shirts with their PBU Logo and slogan:

"THERE IS STRENGTH IN NUMBERS"

I called it "Unity Wear"

While the group performed and some inventory in a local store an by word of mouth, the shirts sold out in less than two weeks!

In 1999 after a brief meeting with leader of PBU Mr. Richard Gaskin AKA Professir-X, it was agreed that I we would pursue with the Unity Wear.

Unity Wear Apparel (UWA) has grown from tee-shirts and sweat shirts to denim, sweat suits, jerseys, button-up shirts and a host of all types of apparel.

I prayed to God to ask direction on the best way I could glorify him through my new venture. What I was given was to bringing strong awareness to the sexual trafficking and exploitation of women and children.

Where ever the Unity Wear name is seen, it will be known that this is a company that was created for one purpose, to do its part to bring strong awareness to this evil that does not receive nearly as much attention as it should.

Unity Wear Apparel is partnered with various organizations that are proactively fighting this evil first hand. Thank you all for doing your part helping UWA make a difference.
